Covid-19 Update 29.6.20

All Level 5 Reflexology courses are still scheduled as planned, however if we are still social distancing or in lockdown, then we will be starting with theory classes via an online virtual class using Zoom.

The CPD course for reflexologists: Gaia AromaReflex is now being offered as a live online interactive Zoom class with a maximum of 6 participants. Other CPD courses are currently on hold.

Reiki classes will only be able to resume once we can meet face to face.

Aromatherapy classes have been postponed – please check back in October for updates.

We are based in South Wirral on the border between Cheshire and Merseyside, and within easy reach of Chester, Wrexham, North Wales, Warrington, Liverpool and the Isle of Man.

The Principal and Main Course Tutor of the School is Carolyn Roberts MSc MAR PRM CRM L5 Tutor, who has been a qualified and practising reflexologist and aromatherapist since 1999. She is also a qualified adult education teacher, Reiki Master Teacher and holds a MSc in Holistic Health.

Assistant Tutor, Debbie Hurst, has a busy holistic therapy practice. She is employed part time, as a therapist in a special needs school, and also runs workshops teaching simplified reflexology techniques to the carers of those with special needs such as autism and ADHD. She has also worked as a therapist at Claire House Children's Hospice.

Booking, Fees and Entry requirements

Entry requirements

  • You must be over 18, and have sufficient ability to be able to perform the reflexology techniques
  • You must have regular access to email, the Internet and word-processing and printing facilities
  • You must have the interest, energy, enthusiasm (and time!) necessary to complete the course
  • You must have an adequate level of written and spoken English.

Course fee - Level 5 Reflexology

October 2020 course cost: £2,900.

What the course fee includes:

  • all teaching materials and comprehensive/detailed training handouts
  • GAIA school reflexology foot chart
  • access to an online Learning Zone
  • access to videos of reflexology sequences
  • a starter pack of GAIA reflexology balms - specifically formulated by the Principal to accompany the specialist Level 5 routines.
  • Gaia School specialism, focus on: Energy Reflexology and Advanced Musculo-Skeletal techniques.

Additional fees

  1. Accreditation fees:
    These Awarding body and Centre fees cover course registration, your certification, your practitioner status registration and internal & external quality assurance. The accreditation fees are subject to yearly change (but are correct as at September 2018).
    • Agored Cymru Unit Fees £142.20
    • Centralia Approved Centre Fees £132.00

    The accreditation total fees of £274.20 made payable via Gaia School of Natural Health within 30 days of commencement of the course.

  2. Professional Association student membership approximately £29-£36 depending on the association chosen. Student membership will include student insurance for 18 months and the fee is payable directly to the relevant association at the commencement of the course.

You will also need to buy your own equipment:

  • Reflexology equipment such as treatment Lafuma chair, bolster and therapist stool (required by Day 4)
  • Uniform (black trousers and tunic)
  • Reflexology consumables such as towels, pillows and creams
  • 4 textbooks (approx. £55)

During course induction (day 1) Gaia School will provide further advice on the the types of equipment available, recommended reading and where to source them.

Course Fee Payment options

  • Option 1 - Non-refundable deposit of £380, followed by full payment of £2,520, totalling £2,900 course fee.

  • Option 2 - Non-refundable deposit of £380, followed by 9 monthly payments of £280, totalling £2,900 course fee.

  • Option 3 - Non-refundable deposit of £380, followed by Payment plan. Please contact to discuss a delayed payment plan over a longer period of time (upto a maximum of 12 months) to reduce the monthly course fee.
    Please note:
    • this option will incur a further £50 fee making the total course fee £2,950; and
    • by extending payment beyond the end of your course, you will not receive your qualification until payment has been made in full.
Note. Payment options only relate to Course fees, and not the additional fees (i.e. Accreditation fees and Professional Association student membership) which are paid for separately.

In the event of Gaia School of Natural Health cancelling the course before it has commenced, the deposit will be refunded. Please see GSNH for further information.

Cancellation policy

Course cancellation by Learner

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) / Reiki Learner cancellation

Learners are entitled to cancel their CPD / Reiki booking up to 48 hours before the course start time. Deposits are non-refundable, however where Learners have paid the full balance of the course price, they will be entitled to a refund of the difference between the full balance and the non-refundable deposit. Alternatively they may postpone their booking to the next scheduled course with available space.

Learners who cancel within 48 hours of the start time of the course are liable for the full cost of the course.

Level 5 Diploma Learner cancellation

Learners are provided the opportunity to withdraw from the course and receive a refund of any paid course fees balance (difference between the full course balance and the non-refundable deposit). This is subject to Learners providing written notice of their cancellation within 14 days of the course commencement date.

Beyond the 14 days “cooling-off” period, Gaia School of Natural Health will not provide any refunds to Learners withdrawing from the course.

Please refer to the Learner and School Contract for further details on specific learner liabilities where course financing options are in place. (The learner remains liable for the course fees balance regardless of whether the learner subsequently completes/graduates the Level 5 course.)

Course cancellation by Gaia School of Natural Health

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) / Reiki course cancellation

In the unlikely event Gaia School of Natural Health cancels the course date (or is required to do so by a governing body e.g. UK Government, the Regulator or Accreditor), an email will be sent to you and an alternative course date/s will be offered. If you cannot attend the revised date/s, then Gaia School of Natural Health will refund your deposit and/or all course fees that have been paid.

Gaia School of Natural Health will not be held liable for any other expenses incurred by the learner associated with joining the cancelled course.

Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology course cancellation

Where Gaia School of Natural Health cancels a Level 5 course that has not yet commenced, then any monies paid (e.g. deposit) will be refunded, and if possible an indication of future course start dates will be emailed to you.

Where Gaia School of Natural Health cancels a Level 5 course date for an “in progress” course, an email will be sent to you with an alternative course date/s that will be within the 3 year period required for completing the qualification.

In the extremely unlikely event that the full “in progress” Level 5 course is cancelled, Learners are directed to Centralia (registering body) who will provide assistance in organising an alternative course provider. Additional fees will be incurred by the Learner in order to complete the qualification. The level of additional fees will depend on the scope of teaching to be provided by the alternative course provider.
