(*please see Why Continuing Professional Development (CPD) section for the basis of Gaia School's calculation of CPD points)

Gaia School of Natural Health is a firm believer in life-long learning. The emphasis to continually develop one's skills and understanding in the world of complementary therapies is a must both for you as an individual (self-development) and for the people whom will benefit from your knowledge and its application to their particular situation (client benefit).

Every association expects their members to pursue CPD and log their CPD evidence on an ad-hoc or reqular basis through a CPD point system. As at April 2016 the AOR requires 20 CPD points a year, whilst FHT expect 10 CPD points. Please confirm with your association the correct requirement relevant for them.

The CPD points are achieved by evidencing attendance of approved/respected courses or through other forms (e.g. work-based learning) identified by the association.

The calculation of the CPD points identified within the course summary on offer by Gaia School of Natural Health follow the general principle of 1 hour of study = 1 CPD point. For note FHT allocate a 1 day course with 5 points and for some AOR ”approved“ courses there is a doubling of CPD points. AOR representative Tracey Smith confirmed on facebook (29th March 2016) “Only attending the AoR seminars or watching the recordings, going to AoR approved CPD courses or doing research gets you two points per hour.”

Please see links below to CPD sections of some of the main associations.
